As part of the ongoing public dialogue regarding unlawful discrimination and harassment, on November 1st we announced that the Guild would be hosting a series of workshops for those members interested in expanding their understanding of the rights and protections afforded to employees in our industry to ensure that all individuals enjoy a safe, healthy, and non-threatening work environment.
Those of you interested in exploring how we – as individuals and members of the Guild – can continue to advocate for respectful workplace behavior throughout the entertainment industry are invited to join us for:
“Awareness, Access, and Accountability: The Foundations for a Harassment-free Work Environment”
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a free-flowing conversation on these topics with National Executive Director Cathy Repola, members of Local 700 and members of other IA Locals. In addition, an attorney who is an expert in the field of Employment Law / Labor Relations, will be leading the discussion to provide our members with both legal foundations and practical guidance for addressing circumstances that may feel threatening, abusive, or otherwise unwelcome. Social workers from MPTF will also be attending.
RSVP no later than Thursday, December 7th
We anticipate the meeting going from 10 am to 12 pm
Light breakfast will be provided
